Delnas Metal Roofing carries out works on small and large commercial projects within the ACT and surrounding region. In recent years we have won contracts to some of Canberra’s most prestigious buildings including the AFP Forensic Facility, the National Arboretum Village Centre and the National Portrait Gallery. In addition, we have worked in collaboration with the ACT Government on community focused projects such as Bonner Primary School, Bimberi Youth Justice Centre and Charnwood Fire and Rescue Station.
Delnas’ choice of materials is both innovative and adventurous particularly with our use of overseas products such as VM Zinc, which was used for the first time on the National Arboretum. The roof design was unique – integrating roof sheeting and glazing in a complex nature. In addition, Delnas surpassed its reputation for quality workmanship and modern design on works undertaken at the National Portrait Gallery. The use of Frameshield insulation allowed the controlled escape of vapour while restricting rain and moisture from precious artwork.
Even our smaller commercial projects are managed with focus and direction such as the Canberra Outlet Centre in Fyshwick. A large amount of material was used on this project including 70,000m² of roofing, 3,200 lineal metres of aluminium walkway and a total of 55 semi-trailers of material. Delnas’ high level of leadership and organisational skills saw the contractor’s installation targets exceeded daily.
Delnas’ ability to envision unique and large scale designs, use skill and industry knowledge to exceed final expectations and provide a human approach in a busy work environment make our business a unique presence in the building industry.
